Feb. 12, 2018 ~ For God So Loved the World (Week 31)

3rd week in a row writing a group
email/blog post!
Is anyone else impressed??
Haha miracles happen. ๐Ÿ˜‰

This week was a lot of fun with a lot of firsts!
Sister Cordero left on Tuesday morning for her
new area. She's at the beach.. so she wasn't too
sad to go. Haha but I was sad to see her leave.
We became good friends during our 12 weeks
together. I know she will kill it in her new area. ๐Ÿ˜Š

I then spent all day Tuesday and Wednesday
in a trio with the 2 other sisters I live with.
They're so dang funny; I laughed for 2 days straight.

Thursday morning came around and I got my new baby!
Her name is Hermana Londoรฑo and she is absolutely amazing.
She is already fluent in Spanish, an amazing teacher,
and pretty much is training me ๐Ÿ˜‰
Her dad is from Columbian and she lived there for a while.
She came from Cedar Hills and went to Lone Peak High.
We have a lot of fun together.... But also work hard.
I've never been so tired in my whole life.
Haha pretty much, she's the best missionary ever.

Something cool that happened this week, is that we taught the entire
Plan of Salvation to a man we met in the street. We used the
pictures/map pieces that we carry, and laid it all out on the sidewalk
for him to see. It was a really cool experience, and we were able to
answer the question he has been asking God for over 20 years, which
was: "Where is my father who has passed away?"
My trainee was in heaven ๐Ÿ˜„!

Haha... its super fun being with someone who is ecstatic
about missionary work. While tracting on our first day together,
she was also privileged to experience the "door slamming in
the face" scenario.
I guess it was best to rip off the bandaid quickly๐Ÿ˜‰

I know for a fact that this
training experience is more for
me than it is for her.
She and Heavenly Father have
both already taught me so much.
Humbling to the core.

Happy Valentine's Day, this week.
I hope you all know how much
I love you!

Love, Hermana Brooks
