Alright, MORE updates for the masses!  1. I cut off 13 inches of my hair and donated it to Charity. 👐 2. I got transferred to a new area. (A little tender mercy found in a fortune cookie after my transfer!) 3. My new companion is Hermana C from Idaho. She was originally serving in Puerto Rico but her entire mission was evacuated when the second hurricane hit. She was relocated here and now I get to serve with her! She is awesome and we work well together :) 4. This town is CRAZZZYYYYY. I've already met sooo many people that were trippin on something.  5. I get to serve with my bestie Elder T from the MTC.  6. We live with 2 other hermanas. Hermana De La T is from Mexico but her family is now in Colorado and Hermana P is from Utah. 7. 6 Spanish missionaries serve in our ward: Our 4 hermanas and then Elder T and his companion Elder Q....

(A letter to the fellow members of my congregation in my hometown...) To my wonderful ward family (and every member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints):  First of all, I want to tell you all how much I love and appreciate you. I have been humbled and amazed at the emails and letters I have received from all of you. I have felt your prayers, and I was so grateful to hear that you fasted for our 11 full-time missionaries this past week. I am excited for you to hear of the miracles that take place throughout the world over the next couple of weeks, thanks to your faith and sacrifice on behalf of us and our areas. No effort goes unnoticed by God. Thank you so much! You all thought the Brooks family was big… but it's so much bigger because I consider you all family too. I love you!  My mom told me that the ward is talking about missionary work this Sunday. Congratulations!! I couldn't think of a better topic to talk about! 😉 She asked me to share my th...

Hello Hello!   A few updates for the masses: 1. This is my last week as a greenie and then I will be done with training!  2. There is one less deer on the earth. (Sad 😔) We hit it driving home from dinner last Sunday. It was quite tragic. And our brand new car (the one that we got for my birthday) is in not-so-great of condition. We will most likely be walking/biking this week while it is in the shop.  3. We attended tons of Halloween parties and I wasn't mad about it!  (Playing a game with the kids at the ward Halloween party.) 4. My companion goes home in 6 weeks...  ☹ 5. Last P-Day, we went to the beach and the aquarium. It was super awesome and I got to pet a stingray.  6. We also went to a famous restaurant called "Phil's" where I ate the best salmon of my life.  7. On Friday, it rained for the first time since I've been here! ...

Oct. 30, 2017 ~ HE HATH FILLED THE HUNGRY WITH GOOD THINGS (Week 16)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! We had a Halloween party on Saturday.  Soooo much fun.  I love the Latin culture.  We had yummy tamales and everyone dressed up (except us),  and we played lots of fun games.  I truly love the people here!    We went on exchanges this week and I was comps with Sister M for 24 hours. She is the coordinating STL and a great example.  We had an exhausting day... in a good way.  We worked so hard and biked for 6 hours and talked to everyone...   We found 5 new investigators just in one day... Sister M is very musically talented and taught me a song she wrote that shares some points about the restoration. She carried her ukulele around in a back pack while we rode our bikes. Every person we passed, we asked if we could sing them a song. We were harmonizing and it was so cool...  What's even cooler,...
